The Niner Esports Draft League- Season in Review

Season 1 of the Niner Esports Draft League ended on a bang with the finals between New Chains Same Shackles and Icarus. Special shoutout to Ken for blessing the Cast with the Nilah Lee Sin technology, someone check his paypal! Anyways after that atrocity of a game 3, Zelgius decided that he had had enough and put the team on his back with a Xerath performance of the century, ending the game with a clean 13-0-19 KDA. Even with that performance, MVP still goes over to Lionize, who with Ken consistently dominated lane phase and transitions their lead to the rest of the map, making it nearly impossible for Icarus to play. Heading to the northside of the Rift we can’t forget about the dynamic duo of Turkeycapper and Goonstone. Turkey with their stonewall toplane champion pool is the Weakside King that NCSS does NOT deserve. Just don’t bring up the Urgot performance in game 4... And last but not definitely not least, Goonstone with their Rek’sai is constantly a threat to all lanes. Although not the most proactive jungler, you can bet that they will have your back when you are getting ganked, executing the nastiest counterganks in the League, single handedly turning around what looks like a doomed play into winning ones. The players of New Chains Same Shackles, although not all there from the start, worked together to improve and adapt. Even after an incident regarding He Who Must Not Be Named, they never gave up and fought hard as one of the League's underdogs to eventually win Season 1 of the Niner Esports Draft League.
